  • Valentin Ruhry More Arrow
    Valentin Ruhry was born in Graz in 1982. He studied at die Angewandte, Wien from 2002-2008 and completed a semester abroad at Royal School of Art and Design in Oslo. So far, among others, the Neue Galerie, Graz (2009), the die Angewandte, Wien (2008), the Project(or), Rotterdam (2008) and the Kunstverein Ettlingen exhibited his work. Since September 2006 he is teaching “media-art” at the HBLA Ortweinschule Graz. In 2006 he was a finalist at the “Diesel New Art Award” and the “Steirischer Landpreis für bildende Kunst”.
  • Mai-Thu Perret More Arrow
    Mai-Thu Perret was born in 1976 in Geneva, Switzerland and currently lives in Geneva and New York. She studied at Cambridge University, and at the Whitney Independent Study Program in New York (2004).In addition to several group exhibitions Perret’s recent solo exhibitions have included: New Works in San Francisco Museum of Modern Art in November 2008, An Evening of the Book and Other Stories at The Kitchen in New York, 2008, The Crystal Frontier at Kunsthalle Sankt Gallen, Switzerland, 2008; and Maastricht’s Bonnefanten Museum, 2007. In 2006 she was also the subject of a major solo exhibition at The Renaissance Society, University of Chicago, and in 2005 at the Centre d’art contemporain, Geneva. In 2007 she participated in the Lyon Biennale and in Eurocentric at the Rubell Family Collection in Miami. In 2008 a monography about her work was published by JRP Ringier and moreover she is featured in the last Parkett, Issue 84.

    After studying at ETH Zurich (1998-1999), HyperWerk, Basel (1999-2001) and ECAL, Lau-sanne (2001-2004), he opened a studio in Zurich, conducting research on tools and the human adaptation to technology. He collaborates with professionals from various fields (designers, writers, typographers, etc.), which has led to many projects and a partnership with the Swiss type foundry Lineto.com. In 2006 he joined Sony's SET Laboratory, Tokyo for research in the field of physically inspired human computer interfaces. He has lectured and conducted workshops at Yale School of Art and Design, The Rietveld Academy, Amsterdam; ECAL Lausanne, Switzerland, e.a.

    Alex Rich, born 1975, Caerphilly, Wales, studied at Goldsmiths College and Ravensbourne College of Design and Communication, London (graduated 1997) and lives and works in Cardiff, South Wales. Working collaboratively across disciplines, his work often takes the form of interventions into everyday life in projects which are improvised, subtle and absurdist. His exhibitions and gallery events include Stealing Beauty: British Design Now, ICA, London (1999), Communicate: Independent British Graphic Design since the Sixties, Barbican Art Gallery, London (2004) YOU_ser: The Century of the Consumer, ZKM, Karlsruhe, Germany (2007) and A Recent Historty of Writing and Drawing, ICA, London (2008).
  • Lawrence Weiner More Arrow
    Lawrence Weiner was born 10 February 1942 Bronx New York; Attended the New York Public School System. The late fifties and early sixties were spent travelling throughout North America (USA, Mexico, and Canada). The first presentation of the work was Mill Valley California in1960. Lawrence Weiner divides his time between his studio in New York City and his boat in Amsterdam. He participates in public and private projects and exhibitions, in both the new and old world, maintaining that ART IS THE EMPIRICAL FACT OF THE RELATIONSHIPS OF OBJECTS TO OBJECTS IN RELATION TO HUMAN BEINGS & NOT DEPENDANT UPON HISTORICAL PRECEDENT FOR EITHER USE OR LEGITIMACY.
