Born in Leningrad/St. Petersburg in 1970, lives and works in Vienna and Karlsruhe Professor for Media art at the hochschule für Gestaltung in Karlsruhe. Received several awards, such as the 171 Prize of the city of Vienna (2009) and the Ursula Blickle Video Prize (2002). solo exhibitions since 1999, including Anna Jermolaewa/Kremlin (2010) at the EDS Galería in Mexico city, Rats (2009) at the Xl Gallery in Moscow, Anna Jermolaewa, Peter Kogler (2009) at the Galerie 422 in Gmunden, the Engelhorn Galerie in Vienna, and the Kunstverein Friedrichshafen, as well as Orchestra Reloaded (2006) at the “Tresor” of the Bank Austria Kunstforum in Vienna.
