Egija Inzule is curator at Istituto Svizzero di Roma. With castillo/corrales in Paris she coproduced the thematic exhibition “Issues of Our Time” parts 1–3 (in 2013 and 2014). The performances, events, group exhibitions, as well as solo presentations she has curated, exported, and imported over the past years include, among others, “IS A BOOK IS A SHOW IS A SHOP,” a double feature exhibition exploring the ambiguous position of publishing in art curated in collaboration with Maja Wismer at The Latvian Center for Contemporary Art in Riga (2009) and at Hammerstrasse 133 in Basel (2010); “In The Middle of Affairs” at Künstlerhaus Stuttgart with Axel J. Wieder, Tobias Kaspar, and the magazine Provence (2010); “Valoda mākslā / Two Occasions, Fig. 7—Konkreti piemēri at kim?” at the Contemporary Art Centre in Riga (2011); “Strange Interlude” at the Palais de Tokyo as part of the Pavillon Neuflize OBC final exhibition (2012). In 2011 she launched a translation series publishing selected essays on art and mainstream culture into Latvian.
