Cory John Scozzari (b. 1988, Florida) is a curator and artist. He is the founding director of Cordova, a not-for-profit multidisciplinary arts space initiated in 2016 in Vienna, currently located in Barcelona. Recent projects include Arca: Angels at Cordova and Esther Gaton: Emil Lime at CA2M.

    Jala Wahid (*1988, lives and works in London) works across sculpture, video, installation and writing. She looks to the emotive and symbolic potential of materials, music and song in exploring the interregional and internal politics that have shaped Kurdistan and the implications this has from a diasporic perspective. She is interested in the complexities of nationalism within a stateless people, history and iconography, methods of archiving and existence, and Kurdish culture and politics as forms of self-preservation and defiance.

BEEP! is a multimedia exhibition featuring works by Cõvco, Jone Erzilla, Jasmine Gregory, Sveta Mordovskaya, Francesc Ruiz, Pasaporteman, and Jala Wahid, curated by Cory John Scozzari. Conceived as a cohesive whole, the show prioritizes immersion and overlap rather than isolation and singularity. Although composed of discrete works by the featured artists, the pieces crash, layer, stack and blend. It features performance, sculpture, installation, painting, sound and video, and touches on themes including globalization, immigration, consumerism and political sovereignty. The twisted and cacophonous landscape created inside BEEP! mirrors the chaotic complexity of our present moment.
